This hack fixes one of the the rather un-Mac-like behaviours of Mac OS X, the appearance of the kernel panic. This divert many kernel panics, resume the system, and pass a signal to the higher layers of the OS and pleasantly notify the user. It does not prevent all panics.
The hack should work on any recent revision of Mac OS X. It actually patches the kernel at runtime (special thanks to Josh de Cesare). It has not been tested, at all, period.
This is really dangerous to run. Do it at your own risk.
